Lakeisha Rhyant

Social Care Manager, Central New York

Lakeisha joined Healthy Alliance because she’s driven by her belief that everyone deserves access to the resources needed to live a fulfilling life. With a strength-based approach, she meets people where they are and helps them overcome barriers. Lakeisha earned her master’s degree in early childhood special education from Syracuse University and later pursued an associate’s degree in American Sign Language at Onondaga Community College. Though she initially aimed to become a special education teacher and worked as a teacher’s aide for many years prior to her degree, her career shifted toward supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and serious mental health conditions in various roles. She has held roles as a direct care professional, teacher’s aide, care manager, employment specialist, and supervisor. She currently works on a mobile crisis team. Outside of work, Lakeisha enjoys playing volleyball, traveling, and engaging in community activities.
