Monica joined Healthy Alliance because she has a passion for helping community members navigate complex social services, which is rooted in the understanding that navigating systemic barriers is a social determinant of health. In her previous role as a Care Navigator and in her educational background in human services, she is driven by empathy and wants to use her social navigation knowledge to ensure vulnerable populations receive the necessary support to live healthier and safer lives. In her free time, she loves to travel, read, go to concerts, sporting events and plays, watch movies, and spend time with her friends and family.
